AG Hunter Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Social Story Study mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
This policy applies to information collected through the App and through support communications with us.
A) Account information
To create and use an account, we collect:
Email address
Account identifiers required to authenticate you (e.g., user ID)
B) Storybook content you create
When you use the App to create storybooks, we process and store:
Story titles and page text you enter
Prompts and settings you provide to generate images (including character or style details, if you use them)
Generated images and storybook structure (pages/order)
C) Cloud storage and syncing data
Because you save stories both on-device and in the cloud, we store in the cloud:
Your storybooks (text, prompts/settings associated with images, generated images, and related metadata)
Identifiers needed to associate content with your account
D) Purchases and subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription:
Apple processes payment information (we do not receive your full payment details).
We receive information needed to confirm subscription status, such as entitlement/subscription state and transaction identifiers.
E) Support communications
If you contact us at aghunterptyltd@gmail.com, we collect:
Your email address
The contents of your message and any attachments
We use this information to respond and provide support.
F) Diagnostics and analytics
We do not use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools in the App.
However, Apple and the device operating system may provide limited diagnostic information to you and/or Apple as part of their platform features.
We use the information we collect to:
Create, display, and save your storybooks
Generate custom images based on your prompts
Sync your storybooks between your devices using cloud storage
Authenticate your account and maintain app functionality
Validate subscription access and manage entitlements
Respond to support requests
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms (where applicable)
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as necessary to operate the App:
A) Cloud and infrastructure providers
We use service providers to host and deliver core App functionality (for example, cloud storage and backend services). These providers process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
B) Image generation providers
To generate images, your prompt and relevant generation parameters are sent to an image generation service provider to produce the image output and return it to the App.
C) Purchase/subscription platforms
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We may use a purchase validation/service layer to confirm entitlement status; this involves processing transaction identifiers and subscription status.
D) Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and our services.
Account data is kept for as long as your account remains active.
Storybooks saved on-device remain on your device unless you delete them or remove the App.
Storybooks saved in the cloud are retained as long as you keep them in your library and maintain an account, unless you delete them (and subject to reasonable backup/retention practices).
Support emails are retained as needed to resolve issues and maintain support records.
We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
You can:
Edit or delete storybooks within the App
Request account deletion and deletion of associated cloud-stored content by contacting aghunterptyltd@gmail.com
(We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.)
The App may be used to create stories for children, but accounts are intended to be created and managed by parents/guardians, educators, or other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact aghunterptyltd@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your information may be processed by service providers in countries other than your own. Where applicable, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice in the App or through other appropriate means.
